What you'll do:
- Lead innovative engineering projects and improvement activities across Mosaic concentrate and mining processes, including development of entirely new processes.
- Complete feasibility studies on new technology that could provide a step change improvement to aspects of mining and concentrate processing, and product development.
- Actively engage with various levels of personnel, including operations, engineering, and functional groups to share learnings and build collaborative networks.
- Participate and direct research activities in both laboratory and full-scale industrial operations.
- Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
- Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
- Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
What you'll need:
- Junior level or above by Jan/May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or industrial Engineering.
- 2.75 GPA or higher
- Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
- Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
- Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
- Basic computer skills are required
- Experience working in a team environment is a must
- Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
- Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
- Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
