Inventory Specialist
Job Summary
The inventory specialist supports our fast-paced printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of parts and materials to production floorstores. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer-literate, highly organized, self-motivated, efficient, and thrives in a high-speed, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily/weekly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in stock quantities.
- Pick, pack, and deliver components to production floor "stores" based on manufacturing schedules and work orders.
- Accurately record inventory transactions in the ERP or inventory management system.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient stockroom layout for quick and accurate material handling.
- Monitor low stock levels and communicate shortages or potential delays to appropriate departments.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and engineering teams to resolve inventory or part-related issues.
- Follow safety and ESD protocols in all material handling and storage procedures.
- Identify and assist in implementing process improvements for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of inventory, stockroom, or cycle counting experience in a manufacturing environment (PCB/electronics preferred).
- Proficient with inventory software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ESD handling procedures.
- Familiarity with PCB components, part numbering, and BOM structures.
- Pallet jack certification is a plus.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, team-oriented electronics manufacturing facility.
- Frequent interaction with production team and cross-functional departments.
- May involve occasional overtime or flexible scheduling based on production needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
