What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated?
Moorings Park is looking for a Custodian. The Custodian is responsible for major housekeeping duties including halls, staircases, common areas, clubhouse restrooms, offices, lobbies and floors.
Contributions:
- Performs major housekeeping duties including halls, staircases, common areas, clubhouse restrooms, offices, lobbies & scrubs floors.
- Pickup & delivery of linen campus wide.
- Moves & vacuums behind furniture.
- Cleans public areas & residential carpets in accordance with policies.
- Cleans interior & exterior Clubhouse windows; exterior of campus windows on a continual basis & residential window as scheduled.
- Cleans pool & patio area furniture.
- Sweeps & mops all building trash rooms.
- Assists with storing deliveries.
- Flips mattresses in residences.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
- Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Moorings Park, person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, teamwork and quality. Team member will support, actively participate, and act in accordance with the principles of the Moorings Park service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Moorings.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
- 0 - 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Previous experience in floor cleaning preferred.
