Duties
- Safely operate a personal cargo van to deliver small parcels across designated routes.
- Load and unload packages while following safe lifting practices.
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient details and obtaining signatures when required.
- Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during all routes.
- Use mobile devices and route navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes and track deliveries in real-time.
- Communicate professionally with customers during drop-offs, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and organized for optimal operation.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving manual handling and material movement.
- Familiarity with van operation, and safe lifting practices in a warehouse or delivery environment.
