Duties
- Safely operate your personal vehicle to deliver small parcels along assigned routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices.
- Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams.
- Must be able to comfortably lift up to 50lbs.
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering parcels accurately, professionally, and on time; interact courteously with recipients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and route completion; ensure all documentation complies with safety standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to guarantee safe operation throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Prior delivery driver experience, with courier or small parcel deliveries but not required.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license suitable for Cargo van, Sprinter Van or personal vehicle; prior delivery driving experience preferred but not required .
- Ability to adhere to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safe lifting practices.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude; excellent communication abilities.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing route driving responsibilities.
