Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Design, Modernization & User Experience
- Build modern, visually engaging, and user-friendly SharePoint sites and pages tailored to pharma business needs (R&D portals, document libraries, project spaces, quality/inspection sites, etc.).
- Develop intuitive navigation, taxonomy, and information architecture to support scientific, clinical, quality, and business workflows.
- Create standardized site templates and components aligned with organizational branding and compliance needs.
- Manage permissions, access controls, and security groups following internal governance policies.
- Ensure site structures support document management standards, audit readiness, and compliance expectations common in pharma (e.g., data integrity, versioning, controlled access).
- Maintain governance documentation and ensure consistent SharePoint usage across functions.
- Implement and optimize AI-enhanced search experiences, including custom AI agents to streamline knowledge retrieval.
- Leverage usage metrics, insights, and analytics to drive data-informed improvements.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 components-especially Viva Engage and Viva Amplify-to share corporate communications, project updates, and enterprise news.
- Connect SharePoint with M365 and third-party solutions supporting pharma operations (e.g., collaboration tools, workflow automation, knowledge repositories).
- Serve as the go-to authority for SharePoint strategy, best practices, and problem-solving across scientific, clinical, and business teams.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
- Translate complex business requirements-often from specialized pharma functions-into effective SharePoint solutions.
- Lead change-management initiatives related to SharePoint updates, new site launches, and process improvements.
- Develop clear communication and adoption strategies to support users through transitions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure new features or structures meet usability, compliance, and operational needs.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency in SharePoint Online, including modern sites, metadata, web parts, permissions, and information architecture.
- Demonstrated experience creating modern, visually compelling, and highly usable SharePoint environments.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven search, search schema, and intelligent knowledge retrieval.
- Experience with Viva Engage, Viva Amplify, and other Microsoft 365 integrations.
- Proven ability to analyze and act on usage analytics and performance metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to scientific and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on change management experience.
- Experience supporting or working within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences organizations.
- Familiarity with pharma-relevant compliance expectations (e.g., data integrity, controlled documents, audit readiness).
- Microsoft certifications (MS-600, MS-700, MS-900, or SharePoint-specific).
- Experience with the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Background in UX/UI design, digital communications, or enterprise knowledge management.
- Preferred Start Time: Due to interactions with European operations, a start time of 8 a.m. EST is required.
