Additionally they will ensure compliance with the He-M 1001, 507 and support compliance with the 1201 regulations.
Senior Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Director of Enhanced Family Care to hire, train and supervise program managers and Home Care Providers as needed in the Enhanced Family Care program.
- Provide training to home care providers and program managers based on these certifications
- Review all budgets and proposals written by program managers and give feedback before being sent to Director for submission.
- Cross-train with the Director of Enhanced Family Care to ensure seamless coverage during director absences.
- Provide crisis response and critical incident support to the program as needed
- Support program managers with hiring, training and providing feedback on supervising direct support professionals associated with programs in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Report all incidents of client abuse, neglect and/or exploitation to designated administrative staff and Adult Protective Services
- Support program managers to work with providers to identify and report behavioral and medical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure program managers review documentation in a timely manner including compliance of related state regulations such as Hem 507 and 1001, as well as internal policies of the Agency.
- Ensure program managers are preparing certified homes for state inspections and coordinating any plan of correction in a timely, compliant, cohesive manner.
- Ensure program managers are establishing client goals and objectives based on evaluations and in conjunction with the individual and the client team
- Attend client meetings when additional program manager support is needed, i.e. a crisis situation that requires a higher level of support, etc.
- Ensure dissemination of escalating client information to the Director of Enhanced Family Care.
- Assist in instituting services that are based on the individualized budget, residential proposal and the Annual Service Agreement of each individual under the Senior Manager’s program sector.
- Ensure program managers are working with providers and Nursing Department to address follow-up on medical and quality assurance issues
- Provide on-call coverage as assigned
- Provide crisis intervention and problem solving department wide
- Interview provider applicants and develop relationships with potential providers in order to create a robust list of potential placements for the men and women we support.
- Participate with the individual client teams as needed to interview and match potential providers
- Monitor Therap program for quality and generate Therap billing data in directors absence.
- Coordinate with program managers on all aspects of client moves, i.e. identify provider, set up placements, ensure program managers complete accompanying paperwork, coordinate client move, and monitor placement.
- Consult with program managers to provide emergency support for providers when necessary
- Ensure that providers under the senior manager’s program sector are in compliance with the terms of the annual contract
- Teamwork, attendance in the office as needed, and face-to-face interaction are essential job functions
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred
- Willingness to pursue and maintain appropriate certifications
- A minimum of two (2) years Program Management experience required
- A minimum of one (1) year mentoring or providing direct oversight of staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage to meet the Agency’s minimum requirements; use of personal vehicle to transport individuals is required

- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to master new software
- Demonstrate mediation skills and the ability to provide positive intervention in crisis situations
- Ability to represent the Residential Department, the Area Agency and the state in a positive manner
