Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual for the role of Head JV Volleyball coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volleyball and experience working with high school aged student athletes. This role involves educating young athletes on the fundamentals of the game, fostering teamwork; and promoting a positive team environment. The Head JV Volleyball coach will plan and lead practices, coaching and mentoring players to enhance their skills and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Develop practice plans tailored to various skill levels.
- Conduct regular practices focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
- Educate players on the rules of volleyball and ensure adherence during practices and games.
- Foster an environment of positive coaching, leadership and discipline.
- Monitor player performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Assist the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in coaching volleyball or playing at a competitive level.
- The ability to coach and motivate players of all skill level.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for practices and games.
- Conduct pre-season training and conditioning beginning August 18th 2025 (times TBD).
- Ability to drive a 14 passenger van to away games, and off-site practices.
- Develop and prepare JV Volleyball players for Varsity level competition.
- Follow Montfort Academy injury and emergency protocols
- Complete online Virtus course: Protecting God’s Children, and submit to a background check
- Submit First Aid and CPR Certifications
- Utilize Sports Engine App to effectively schedule and communicate with team.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,500.00 per year
