About the Role
Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to support the quality, stability, and performance of their customer-facing web portals and mobile applications. This role will play a key part in ensuring applications meet the highest standards for accuracy, security, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong automation background (approximately 80% automation / 20% manual testing), hands-on experience with AccelQ, Sauce Labs, and JMeter, and a proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, regulated environments alongside cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications (80% focus)
- Perform manual testing as needed, including functional, regression, integration, and UAT support (20% focus)
- Create, maintain, and enhance test frameworks and reusable test scenarios
- Leverage AccelQ for test automation management, execution, and reporting
- Utilize Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-device test execution
- Apply JMeter for performance and load testing when needed
- Partner closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and validate functionality
- Test Salesforce-based environments, integrations, and workflows
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, driving root-cause analysis
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration
- Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Ensure testing practices meet internal standards and financial industry regulatory and security requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on test automation
- Hands-on experience with AccelQ, Sauce Labs, and JMeter
- Proven experience testing Salesforce applications and integrations
- Strong background testing both web portals and mobile applications (iOS/Android)
- Experience with modern automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC best practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Experience in a regulated environment (financial services, insurance, healthcare, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Exposure to performance, load, and security testing
- ISTQB or similar QA certification
