Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a System Analyst, Hyperion Planning on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote at our Customer’s Sunnyvale, CA location and candidates must be able to work PST hours .
What You’ll do:
Maintain, enhance, and support the Hyperion financial planning database used for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting purposes, and optimize Hyperion's capabilities
Design, develop and evolve existing Hyperion modeling and structure to meet current and future needs
Performance tuning, upgrading, testing, server maintenance, backup planning, security administration, and migration
Provide support to the Hyperion user community
Provide production support for existing applications ensuring responsiveness to customer requests and quality of work
Demonstrate good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve system issues in order to maximize the benefit of Information Technology (IT) systems
Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and business requests, and recommend solutions using system standards and best practices
Conduct analysis of system specifications, configurations and develop appropriate documentation
Perform solution designing, requirements definition, functional design, testing, and implementation of IT solutions
Support, assist, and train the users on new modified system configurations highlighting the impact on business processes
Must Haves:
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
5 years of experience with Hyperion
Experience in Hyperion System 11.1.2.4 modules (Essbase BSO, Essbase ASO, Planning, Smartview VBA)
Strong Experience with Extract, transform, and load (ETL) tools - Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SQL Database, and Oracle Database
Good knowledge of SQL/Oracle query writing and analysis
Strong scripting experience in developing Calc Scripts, MaxL Scripts, Batch Scripts, and reporting using Excel Add-in/Smartview custom utility
Extensive knowledge in integrating Multi-Service Access Devices (MSAD) and other Lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) technologies, and Lifecycle Management (LCM)
Skilled in performance tuning, upgrading, testing, server maintenance, backup planning, security administration, and migration
Extensive experience in defining hierarchy, dimensions, and formulas in Hyperion Essbase
Good to have experience with Digital rights management (DRM), Oracle Hyperion 11.2 on-premise version
Good to have knowledge of SAP ERP systems and accounting practices
Ability to understand Financial Planning processes and how they integrate with other areas of an organization
Ability to perform all tasks in the implementation cycle, including business process definition, configuration, and unit testing, support of user acceptance testing, and post-live support
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
