We are seeking a IT Collaboration Tools Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to design and implement new applications and systems or enhance existing solutions.
- Manage one or more small or medium-sized projects with moderate complexity.
- Deliver projects within defined start and end dates, scope, budget, and performance objectives.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion related to project execution.
- Manage projects typically ranging from $100,000 to $5,000,000.
- Gather, define, and document project requirements.
- Communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations to all project team members.
- Independently plan and maintain project tasks and schedules.
- Identify and creatively solve complex project challenges.
- Lead project teams to deliver milestones on time and on budget.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and phase gate reviews.
- Ensure project teams have the necessary tools and training.
- Record, track, and communicate project issues, risks, changes, and status in alignment with PMO standards.
- Drive all project tasks and workstreams to successful completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor critical milestones and proactively mitigate risks and issues.
- Assess project performance and implement changes to keep projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with sponsors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate and complete project documentation.
- 5 years of experience managing moderately complex IT products or software development projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective presentation abilities.
- Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience working in a PMO environment as a Project Lead or Project Manager.
- Advanced project management knowledge and technical competence.
- Experience managing projects related to facilities or physical security.
- Experience implementing or upgrading collaboration tools such as Zoom, Office 365, Slack, Box, or Lucid.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet and Anaplan.
- Understanding of IT roles, responsibilities, and resource planning.
- Experience managing resource plans and balancing resources across projects and programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
