We are seeking a Communications Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Redmond, WA.

We are seeking a Communications Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Redmond, WA.
Responsibilities
Documentation & Repository Management
- Create and oversee document repositories, ensuring the right tools are in place for the team
- Audit Google Drive to ensure accuracy and organization
- Develop and enforce naming conventions and hierarchical structures for folders and files
- Establish auditing and archival processes for outdated files
- Create, design, and maintain G-Sites, webpages, or wikis to serve as knowledge hubs
- Identify key documentation and assign stakeholders for ongoing content management
- Coordinate symposiums and internal events, including logistics, scheduling, and documentation
- Provide presentation and speech support, including script writing, prepping speakers, and content research
- Develop and manage internal and external communication plans
- Provide crisis communication support as needed
- Manage recurring communications, such as newsletters, strategy updates, and research communications
- Improve executive review documents for clarity and consistency
- Design, create, and deploy communications for demos with executives and senior leaders
- Standardize communications and templates for announcements, demos, and recurring updates
- Train researchers and team members to ensure consistent communication practices
- 5–7 years of professional experience in communications, documentation management, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills for diverse communication formats
- Proven experience managing organizational knowledge systems and repositories
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong partnership skills with leadership, serving as a trusted advisor and right-hand support
- Experience building and executing communication plans for divisions or leadership teams
- Ability to support large groups (50 people)
- Diverse communications experience, including ghostwriting, internal/external comms, and document repository management
- High adaptability and flexibility in fast-paced environments
- Experience in the tech industry, particularly supporting information systems
- Ability to work effectively in diverse teams and contribute unique perspectives
- Creativity and enthusiasm for designing communication strategies
