A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Business Analyst to help support their business needs.
The main function of a business analyst is to perform analysis on automotive sales, pricing, and incentives. The business analyst will be responsible for identifying data insights, developing reports and/or presenting findings to management.
Responsibilities
5 years of experience in a business analyst or data analysis role
Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work with large datasets and create executive-ready visual presentations
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities
- Analyze automotive sales, pricing, and incentive data to identify trends and actionable insights
- Work with large datasets from multiple sources to support business analysis
- Develop meaningful charts, graphs, and visualizations that clearly communicate insights
- Translate complex data into compelling narratives tailored to different leadership audiences
- Prepare and present data-driven findings to management using clear and concise storytelling
- Produce regular reporting updates, including time-sensitive reports such as EV tax credit changes
- Deliver standard recurring reports on a weekly and monthly cadence as needed
- Streamline reporting processes and drive efficiency through advanced Excel and PowerPoint usage
- Support leadership decision-making by synthesizing insights related to pricing, incentives, and market behavior
5 years of experience in a business analyst or data analysis role

- Solid understanding of microeconomics, including supply and demand, pricing behavior, incentives, and elasticity
- Prior experience working with automotive sales, product, or incentive pricing data
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Tuesdays - Thursdays in office (Warren, MI), Mondays and Fridays remote
