Job Summary

The Director of Operations is a profit-driven regional leader responsible for driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and expanding market presence across a designated portfolio of The Mold Pros (TMP) locations. This strategic role combines full P&L accountability with aggressive business development to capture new market opportunities in mold inspection and remediation, water damage restoration, fire/smoke mitigation, and indoor environmental testing. The Director executes high-level operational strategies that directly impact the bottom line while building long-term customer relationships and scalable systems that fuel regional expansion.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sales pipeline development and lead generation strategies to achieve aggressive revenue targets across assigned locations.
  • Cultivate and convert strategic partnerships with real estate professionals, property managers, healthcare providers, insurance adjusters, and commercial clients to expand market share.
  • Identify untapped market segments, competitive gaps, and expansion opportunities that translate into measurable profit growth.
  • Design and execute territory-specific marketing campaigns and community engagement initiatives that generate qualified leads and increase brand visibility.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and maintain a robust sales funnel through proactive prospecting and relationship management.

Profit & Loss Management

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the region, ensuring operations meet or exceed budgeted revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics, cost structures, and pricing strategies to optimize gross margin and net operating income.
  • Implement cost-control measures and operational efficiencies that directly improve EBITDA and ROI.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue per location, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and contribution margin.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, and strategic recommendations to support growth objectives.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee multi-site operations to ensure service delivery efficiency, resource utilization, and customer retention drive profitability.
  • Manage payroll optimization, AP/AR cycles, and cash flow to support financial health and operational liquidity.
  • Supervise service verticals—testing, remediation, mitigation—with a focus on revenue per job and repeat business generation.
  • Leverage CRM and operational systems to track sales activity, conversion rates, and client engagement metrics.

Leadership & Team Performance

  • Build and lead high-performing teams focused on sales results, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff with emphasis on business development skills, technical excellence, and profit accountability.
  • Set performance expectations tied to revenue goals, service quality, and customer retention metrics.
  • Manage performance reviews, coaching, and talent development to create a culture of achievement and continuous improvement.

Customer Acquisition & Retention

  • Serve as executive-level contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction drives referrals, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Handle client escalations with a focus on swift resolution, retention, reputation management, and long-term value creation.
  • Resolve complex issues and service concerns to protect revenue relationships and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Design scopes of work and remediation plans that balance quality service delivery with healthy profit margins.
  • Develop and manage 3rd-party inspector relationships to scale inspection capacity and support revenue growth.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all operations maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental standards to protect company reputation and profitability.
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions that minimize liability exposure and operational disruptions.
  • Uphold company policies and industry best practices to safeguard service quality and brand integrity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, operations management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles with demonstrated P&L ownership and business development success in restoration, environmental services, or related industries.
  • Must have an active Texas Mold Remediation Contractor license.

Travel Requirements

Compensation Range

Annual base salary of $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 plus aggressive performance-based incentive compensation tied to revenue and profit targets. Base salary commensurate with experience.
