Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent serves as a partner to organization leaders and anticipates HR related needs within their assigned departments. Serves as the first point of contact for employees and managers who need support, guidance, or inquiries regarding organizational practices and policies. Works in collaboration with HR operations team in planning and fulfilling HR initiatives and practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to speak persuasively in diverse situations and to present to groups/conduct meetings with employees and leaders at various levels in the organization
- Considerable written communication skills, including the ability to draft and edit documents containing technical or procedural information
- Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and the ability to manage emotionally charged situations
- Demonstrated ability to apply personnel and management practices
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Knowledge of training principles and methods
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data and convert insights into tangible action plans
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills, with a solution-oriented approach
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and explain laws, ordinances, policies, procedures, etc.
~AND~
- Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Three (3) years’ experience in human resource management, involving recruitment, employee benefits, compensation and employee relations
~OR~
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Five (5) years’ experience in human resource management involving recruitment, employee benefits, compensation and employee relations
~AND~
- Experience in leading and implementing HR projects and initiatives in partnership with senior leadership
- HR Certification preferred
- ADP experience preferred
