What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditor, CT position at The Mohegan Tribe of Indians Of Connecticut?
Summary of Position:
Incumbent performs financial, compliance, and operational audits in accordance with accepted professional standards. Documents pertinent testing and results for further evaluation by Corporate Governance Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Independently performs the planning phase on assigned segments of an audit.
- Acquires and applies new skills and techniques (for example: analytical, financial and process analysis) to audits and ad hoc projects.
- Develops and executes detailed audit procedures, including performing fieldwork, testing and data analysis on transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
- Ensures that all work papers are complete, adequately referenced and sufficient to support all conclusions presented in the reports.
- Provides objective and professional descriptions of findings in the audit reports.
- Develops recommendations for corrective action/improvement.
- Provides assistance to external auditors as requested.
- Develops accurate, concise, comprehensive and complete risk and control matrices and flowcharts.
- Manages audit assignments within budgeted expectations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- One (1) year of audit experience
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
- Must be able to be licensed by the State of Connecticut, Division of Special Revenue
