Salary: $5833/monthPosition Overview: This position is responsible for overseeing a remote field office and a small canvassing team, ensuring accountability and a supportive work environment in a fast-paced office. Field offices will be based in Fairbanks and Juneau. The Field Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to build and execute successful field plans during the 2026 election season.Position Type: Full-time, exempt, salariedCompensation: $5833/month (with some benefits including paid holidays, year-end bonuses, opportunity to contribute to IRA, and a Health Reimbursement Account)Time Frame: February 1, 2026 November 15, 2026Hours: Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm, weekend flexibility is a must.Location: Juneau, FairbanksWho we are looking for: Individuals with progressive values looking to get more involved in issue advocacy and electoral work seeking to advance into management positions.Regular Duties:Hire, schedule, and supervise a small team of canvassers to conduct door, phone, and event-based voter outreach.Develop a hiring plan to meet campaign goals.Attend weekly check-in meetings with TMC Leadership Team.Complete weekly report outs that will be reviewed at the weekly check-inEnsure canvassers have all materials necessary to complete their jobs, including turf packets and assignments, call lists, printed materials, and working technology.Help to support and plan events such as public tabling opportunities, street canvassing, rallies or town hall meetingsProvide training and practice sessions to ensure canvassers have the necessary skills and confidence to communicate directly with voters about complex issues.Canvass a minimum of two days a week with your team.Create a healthy team environment by conducting regular team-building activities.Be the point of contact for team members on turf, on the phones, and at events during main canvassing activities.Ensure a tidy and organized office setting.Conduct nightly debrief sessions with canvassing team to understand themes and potential changes or evolutions to the field plan.Ensure each canvasser completes nightly check-out duties, including syncing data, entering data, and completing check-out forms.Communicate any challenges with staff, technology, data, or other key elements of the program immediately to The Mobilization Center leadership team.Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: assisting with preparation of reports and campaign analysis, data entry, and planning meetings.Ideal Qualifications:Experience supervising a team or managing volunteersAbility to work independently and solve problems as they arisePrevious political campaign work or volunteer experienceExcellent communication skills and/or customer service experienceWillingness to travel around Alaska
