About the Position
Please note that this position is NOT REMOTE, and the agency does not offer relocation assistance. This position is accountable for performing a wide range of complex security procedures and processes necessary to ensure the safety of information systems and assets and protect systems and data from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Ensures that technical staff understand and adhere to the necessary procedures and processes to maintain security. Drives and tracks POA&M progress across the agency. Coordinates external teams in the execution of audits for regulatory and standards compliance. Provides input into the development of security policies. Act as Threat Analyst during incident response. Assist in the creation and management of response and recovery plans. Review access change requests from users, approving standard or low risk requests. Develop and understanding of different Business Unit needs to apply to requests. Provides advice to management on “balance” between business needs and data security. Assist users in accessing training system. Maintain user accounts in training system. Execute regular training in system. Conducts complex IT data and security forensic investigations. Position also requires physical security elements, including: process changes for and audit physical access control. Operate security camera systems.
Requires knowledge of domain structures, user authentication and digital signatures. Requires in depth knowledge of intrusion detection and internet architecture.

Proficiency in threat detection, incident response, and complex security data analysis is essential. Effective communication and staying updated on emerging threats and technologies are also crucial.
Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-8 years of IT experience with emphasis in security and compliance.
Salary : $65,780 - $89,789
