The Mission Preparatory School, a TK-8, college-preparatory, tuition-free, public charter school in San Francisco’s Mission District, is accepting applications for the role of Community and ELT Liaison for the 2026-27 school year. The Mission Preparatory School (Mission Prep) is a high-performing, single site, TK–8 public charter school in San Francisco’s Mission District, serving nearly 500 students. Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s or relevant experience in Education, Psychology, or Social Services. Work experience with family engagement, school climate issues Cultural humility and experience working with diverse communities Knowledge of grant writing and compliance in utilizing public funding. Excellent time management, organizational and multi- tasking abilities Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse group that includes internal and external stakeholders, such as parent, student and school based personnel Experience successfully working with non-traditional students in an urban, alternative setting Knowledge and Other Qualifications Working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to the education of English Language Learners and immigrant students. Working knowledge of program design, implementation and evaluation as it pertains to High Academic Achievement and Sheltered Instruction. Working knowledge of national research and best practices theories in closing the achievement gap for ELLs and priority groups Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse set of stakeholders toward a common goal. Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, email, internet searching, social media applications, database management applications and evidence-based software is required
