Possible Locations: Jordan, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Syria, UAE
Job Description:
Mission Essential is looking for skilled Linguists to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services in support of ongoing and new U.S operations and mission requirements in multiple OCONUS locations. The linguist will provide any and all cultural and ethnic context of translations, interpretations, and transcriptions with an expert linguist's opinion given to the supported organization or agency as to the most likely meaning/intent of terms, phrases, or statements that may have multiple valid interpretations.
We are looking for a variety of Arabic skills to include the following languages and dialects:
Modern Standard Arabic
Arabic Eastern Levantine
Arabic Iraqi
Arabic Eastern Levantine/Kurdish
Arabic Eastern Levantine/Kurdish Kurmanji

Requirements:
- Must have a proficiency in target language and English speaking and writing Level 3/3 of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)-Native proficiency preferred
- Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in standard dialect and vocabulary rarely requiring the need for paraphrasing or explanation
- Familiarity with the local culture and customs with the ability to operate within the local populace
