DescriptionThe Crop Insurance Account Manager is responsible for the end-to-end servicing and retention of a complex portfolio of agricultural accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of the Risk Management Agency (RMA) guidelines and the specific challenges facing California agriculture, including water availability and climate volatility. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for growers, ensuring their operations are protected against yield and revenue losses.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) and Crop-Hail policies, including processing applications, acreage reports, and production reports.Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all policy data—including legal descriptions, entity structures, and historical yields—is accurate and meets strict federal regulatory standards.Claim Coordination: Act as the liaison between the grower and the adjuster during loss events, providing necessary documentation to facilitate timely and accurate claim settlements.Relationship Management: Foster long-term partnerships with growers and Centers of Influence (COIs), such as Ag-lenders and CPAs, to drive account retention and referrals. Data Utilization: Use agency management systems to track key deadlines (Sales Closing, Acreage Reporting, PRD) and provide growers with detailed cost-benefit analyses of different insurance scenarios.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseExperience: 3 years of experience in crop insurance or agricultural risk management.Licensing: Valid California Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.Must be a certified Crop SpecialistCommunication: Ability to translate complex federal regulations into actionable advice for growers and stakeholders.Detail Oriented: Strong mathematical and analytical skills to manage intricate production and acreage data.BenefitsCompetitive salary plus great benefits
