Job Description
The Client Service Associate will assume responsibility for key aspects that support client facing and operational functions of our wealth management group. The Client Service Associate will strive to support the team’s advisors and planners in handling the day-to-day management of client accounts, following up on action items, and delivering exemplary service to all firm clients and strategic partners.
Early in the role, the Client Service Associate will be expected to master our team’s process, play an integral role in preparing client deliverables, and take ownership over all aspects of interacting with our primary custodians. It is expected that the Client Service Associate goes above and beyond to help our team implement and facilitate systems to improve our own efficiencies and improve client satisfaction. The Client Service Associate will have client facing opportunities over the first year and may earn the right to have more involved client responsibilities as they gain experience. The successful candidate for this position will be a team player, have a high level of personal motivation, attention to detail, problem solving mentality, strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
• First point of contact for client calls
• Facilitate money transfers for clients
• Troubleshoot account inquiries for clients
• Maintain records in file share
• Client reporting, billing, and invoicing
• Work with advisors and planners to help complete deliverables for assigned clients
• Facilitate new client onboarding
• Complete client account requests and all required paperwork
• Take lead on internal team processes
• Gather and send key tax reporting documents to clients and their CPAs
• Take lead on managing annual contributions to IRA accounts
• Take lead on managing annual Required Minimum Distributions from IRA accounts
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree – major in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration [Required]
• Series 65 license or equivalent licensing [Required]
• Experience working at a financial services firm (1-2 years) [Required]
• Proficient understanding of financial planning principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and PC use
• Demonstrated ability to organize, multi‐task, and problem solve issues while managing competing priorities and commitments to deadlines
• Effective communication skills that allow the CSA to quickly build trust with clients and team members
• Proven track record demonstrating ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Ability to connect with co-workers and build positive relationships with team members is a must
