Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Tree Trimmer to join our arboriculture team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and aesthetics of trees through precise trimming, pruning, and removal techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of tree care practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation to ensure the safety of both personnel and the environment. The Tree Trimmer will work closely with landscape maintenance teams to support overall property beautification and ecological health.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate techniques to promote tree health and safety.
- Operate bucket trucks, cranes, and other aerial lift equipment safely for elevated work.
- Use rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or sections during removal processes.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, and general horticulture duties as needed.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition; perform routine inspections.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to prevent accidents or injuries during operations.
- Assist in growing experience by learning new skills related to arboriculture, horticulture, and landscaping practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tree care, tree trimming, or landscaping is preferred; growing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, bucket operation, and proper use of bucket trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles, landscape maintenance, and lawn care practices.
- Ability to operate aerial lifts safely and efficiently; certification in bucket truck operation is preferred.
- Excellent attention to safety procedures with a focus on risk management in tree work environments.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy branches or equipment, and working at heights.
- Prior experience or training in land surveying or landscape architecture is beneficial but not required.
