Job Summary:
As the PM Banquet Lead here at The Minikahda Club, you’ll be exposed to a vast variety of cooking techniques and cuisines. The events we cook for can range from 150 people to a six-course wine dinner with extremely detailed cooking techniques. Every day is different!! Somedays are “prep only” where we utilize those days to get ahead of the business demand and organizing the kitchen. Some days there are multiple parties with different dishes being executed.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Follows instructions and directions of the Sous-Chefs and Banquet Manager to deliver expected member experiences for the delivery of food.
- Provides directions to the Cooks and Stewards to deliver exceptional member food experiences and finish tasks in a timely manner.
- Manage food production for banquet functions including menu planning and personal supervision.
- Maintains weekly and monthly BEO prep and execution of BQT events.
- Establishes and adheres to food cost goals for banquet functions.
- Assists in verifying that banquet cook follows all recipes and portion sizes.
- Keeps kitchen, and storage areas clean and organized.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to keep cooking space clean and organized.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Vast understanding of different cooking techniques and cuisines
Education and Experience:
- Culinary Degree or a minimum of 5 years’ experience cooking in a high volume kitchen.
Physical Requirements:
- This position will spend majority of the time standing.
- Occasional exposure to cold, heat and water.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and 35 lbs regularly.

Pay Rate:
$ 24-$26 per hour depending on experience.
