CA RTC Licensed Therapist- HYBRID

🍋 The Mindful Lemon is seeking a passionate, experienced Licensed Therapist for a hybrid role supporting our 6-bed Residential Treatment Center in Castaic, CA and providing virtual clinical services for our programs.

This role is primarily focused on residential care (3 days/week onsite), with 2 remote days dedicated to virtual intakes, assessments, and clinical support.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Hybrid Therapist reports to the Clinical Director and coordinates closely with the onsite Program Director to provide direct clinical services within the residential program in Castaic, Ca while also supporting the organization through virtual intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and clinical treatment. This role requires strong experience in crisis intervention, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning and utilization review.

SCHEDULE:

• 3 days onsite at RTC to include one weekend day in Castaic, CA
• 2 days remote (virtual intakes, assessments, and clinical support)
• Productivity requirement varies based on RTC census – minimum of 10 virtual hours per week in addition to RTC tasks
• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Evening availability preferred, one weekend day required

DUTIES:

• Provide individual, family group therapy and crisis management for up to 6 residential clients
• Conduct assessments, intake evaluations, and treatment and discharge planning for residential clients.
• Coordinate with prescribing provider to ensure residential clients medication needs are met
• Complete virtual intakes, clinical assessments and ongoing treatment for new and prospective clients
• Manage crisis situations, including risk assessments and safety planning
• Collaborate with Program Director and Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure appropriate engagement in the therapeutic milieu
• Support admissions, discharges, and level-of-care determinations, facilitating Utilization Review with insurance companies and payors as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EHR
• Facilitate groups and psychoeducation within the residential program
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, boundaries, and confidentiality
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and trainings

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active California license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist)
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in residential or high-acuity settings
• Strong experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment
• Experience conducting intakes and diagnostic assessments
• Comfortable providing virtual clinical services (intakes/assessments)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Available at least one weekend day per week in person

PREFERRED:

• Experience in dual diagnosis settings
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care
• Experience with Smart Recovery and/or 12-step models

COMPENSATION:

- $85,000–$105,000 base salary (DOE)
