Live-In Nanny / Family Assistant
Location: Abilene, TX
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–6:00PM
Position Type: Full-Time, Live-In
Start Date: Late October / Early November
About the Position
We are a busy family in Abilene looking for a dependable, caring, and trustworthy Live-In Nanny / Family Assistant to help with childcare and the everyday routines that keep our household running smoothly.
We have 5 children ranging from toddler to preteen. Most of the children are school-aged, fairly independent, and have their own chores and responsibilities. Our toddler is only with us part of the time.
We are also a busy sports family, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with an active household and can help us stay organized throughout the week.
Professional nanny experience is NOT required. We are happy to consider someone new to nannying who is responsible, dependable, good with children, and willing to learn our family’s routine.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Supervising and caring for children Helping with morning and after-school routines Preparing simple meals and snacks Helping with homework and daily routines Getting children ready for sports and activities Transportation to/from school, practices, activities, etc. as needed Regular household laundry, including washing, folding, and putting clothes away Loading and unloading the dishwasher Picking up and organizing common areas Cleaning up after the children Making sure older children complete their own assigned chores Helping keep the household organized and running smoothly
This is NOT a professional or deep-cleaning position.
Schedule
Wednesday–Saturday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
The position provides consistent weekly hours. Any additional work requested outside of the normal agreed-upon schedule would be discussed separately.
Live-In Benefits

Compensation
Cash compensation will be discussed privately based on the final arrangement, responsibilities, and candidate.
We already have a compensation package in mind, but we are open-minded and willing to hear reasonable expectations from the right person.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and punctual Responsible and trustworthy Patient and good with children Comfortable working with children of different ages Comfortable in a busy household Able to multitask and stay organized Willing to help with both childcare and everyday household tasks Willing to learn and follow our family’s routines Able to communicate well with parents
Professional nanny experience is not required.
Required:
- Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation or ability to drive a family vehicle if provided/approved Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check References preferred
