What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist (Hybrid) position at The Millennium Group?
The HR Specialist will play a critical role in fostering employee growth, ensuring organizational readiness for future leadership needs, and maintaining compliance with labor laws. This position focuses on designing and implementing training programs, supporting career development initiatives, managing succession planning processes, and ensuring adherence to all applicable employment regulations. This role is a hybrid, three days a week in the office and two days a week from home position.
Labor Law Compliance
• Research, draft, and communicate new policies and procedures in accordance with applicable state/local/federal labor laws and regulations (e.g., minimum wage laws, required training laws, sick time laws, paid family leave laws, mandatory posters, etc.)
• Update Associate Handbooks in accordance with applicable labor laws and distributing to TMG Associates via our web portal.
• Communicate and distribute labor law poster updates and work with Operational Leadership to ensure appropriate posters are displayed in all physical office locations.
• Maintain company Form I-9 Records and E-Verification requirements.
• Regularly perform compliance audits of Human Resources files and documentation.
• Complete end of year OSHA reports including 300 logs and 300A summaries.
Training and Development
• Work with the HR and Operational Leadership to create annual training calendar.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs aligned with organizational goals and employee competency needs.
• Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions.
• Maintain and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) / Virtual Learning Center (VLC) for tracking and reporting training activities.
• Promote continuous learning culture through workshops, e-learning, and development resources.
Succession Planning
• Collaborate with leadership to identify critical roles and potential successors.
• Develop and maintain succession planning templates and tools.
• Monitor talent pipelines and recommend strategies for leadership readiness.
• Support performance management processes to align development plans with succession goals.
General HR Support
• Participate in onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
• Address employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and development opportunities.
• Support HR projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Provide back-up support for the People Operations team and Talent Acquisition team for progressive discipline, investigations, leave of absence management, and hiring as needed.
• Performing other related duties as required and assigned.
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
