Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and standards
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
• Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail or catering purposes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols
• Assist in food preparation tasks related to pastry preparation, dough handling, and cooking processes
• Support high-volume production needs while ensuring consistency in quality and presentation

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
• Strong knife skills and expertise in dough preparation, and baked goods assembly
• Knowledge of food safety standards, handling procedures, and kitchen equipment operation
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during high-volume production
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on food quality and presentation
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
• Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Catering experience or culinary background is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
