About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Data QA Lead to enhance and elevate our data quality assurance processes. This is a new, individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Data. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial data, from its source through our ETL pipelines to the final financial reports.
The ideal candidate is a flexible and creative problem-solver who can take a self-starting approach to improving our QA framework. You will work closely with our data engineering team to implement robust testing and monitoring solutions, with a strong focus on mentorship and skills development. This is a high-impact role for someone who is passionate about data integrity and wants to build a best-in-class QA program.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance Data Quality Processes: Assess and improve our existing data QA processes, introducing new methodologies and tools to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
- Validate Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and execute test plans to validate data as it moves through our ETL pipelines, ensuring data is transformed correctly and meets business requirements.
- Ensure Financial Report Accuracy: Work closely with business and finance teams to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of data used in critical financial reports.
- Lead Collaboration: Be the go-to expert for data quality, working closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues.
- Implement Testing and Automation: Introduce and build automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability of our data QA processes.
- Act as a Mentor: Share your knowledge and best practices with the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
Qualifications
- Experience: 7-10 years of proven experience in data quality assurance, with a focus on data pipelines and financial reporting.
- Financial Industry Experience: Direct experience in the financial services industry is a must. A strong understanding of financial data domains (e.g., loan data, credit data) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL is essential for data validation and analysis.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
