What You'll Do
As Executive Chef, you'll oversee every aspect of the kitchen operation while inspiring your team to execute at the highest level.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead all food preparation and daily culinary operations.
- Develop, refine, and execute menus that exceed guest expectations while meeting company quality standards.
- Manage food, labor, and operating costs to achieve financial goals.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
- Create a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution.
- Approve every dish leaving the kitchen and ensure it meets company standards.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, administrative responsibilities, and kitchen performance.
- Resolve operational challenges quickly while maintaining a positive, professional environment.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a HIGH-VOLUME restaurant.
- Exceptional leadership and kitchen management skills.
- Strong understanding of food, labor, and inventory cost controls.
- Ability to lead multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Passion for culinary innovation while maintaining operational consistency.
- Working knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Mexican/Latin cuisine experience is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
