This position is crucial in maintaining a consistent, supportive learning environment for students across various educational settings.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLearning EnvironmentCreate an atmosphere conducive to students' intellectual, physical, social, and emotional developmentFoster a classroom environment that encourages student involvement and achievement of learning objectivesMaintain a personalized, rigorous, and socially engaging advisory environmentSupervision and SafetySupervise students in various school-related settings, including coverage sessionsMonitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilitiesEstablish and maintain safety standards for student behaviorTake necessary precautions to protect students and school resourcesInstructional DutiesInstruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methodsAdapt and scaffold teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs and interestsSupport and nurture students' academic, social-emotional, and physical needsProfessional ConductServe as an advisor, mentor, and model of appropriate habits and behaviorsCommunicate and interact effectively with students and staffComplete new hire compliance training before starting employmentSupervisionWorks under the general supervision of the curriculum director, with work reviewed for conformance to established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
