Shift: 8am-5pm

Summary
Ensures the effective/efficient operation of the Respiratory Therapy Department and Pulmonary Function Testing Labs. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates all activities performed by staff in assigned areas. Ensures that appropriate Respiratory Therapy and Pulmonary Function Testing services are provided to patients throughout The MetroHealth System. Maintains records of daily treatments and revenue. Maintains competency/proficiency with requisite skills to provide patient care to infant through adult patient populations as dictated by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the Joint Commission, the Ohio Medical Board, and other regulatory bodies. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.
Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Possess and maintain an active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board.
Possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
5 years of experience as a RRT, ideally in a critical care environment.
3 years of supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups.
Strong quantitative skills, including using personal computers and databases.
Demonstrated continuing professional self-development.
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
