Assembles/installs/maintains/repairs pipes, fittings, water fixtures, drainage systems, oxygen, and other piped gas in accordance with specifications/plumbing codes. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications
Required:
- HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Meets one of the following:
- Possess a Plumbing License for the State of Ohio through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB).
- Possess a Journeyman’s Plumbing License.
- Documented 8 years of plumbing experience.
- 4 years of documented plumbing experience.
- Possess a current certificate showing completion of the Infection Control Risk Assessment - 8 Hour (ICRA-8 hour) training program, OR obtains within 6 months of hire.
- Maintains the certificate as needed.
- Possess a current American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance Personnel certification (ASSE 6040), OR obtains within 6 months of hire.
- Maintains the certificate as needed.
- Maintains working knowledge of Plumbing Codes.
- Possess a current, valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to read and utilize blue prints.
- Solid problem solving skills, and able to use sound judgment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic personal computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
- Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned.
- Possess a Fire Sprinkler Installer License for the State of Ohio.
- Possess a current American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) 6010 Medical Gas Systems Installer certification (ASSE 6010), and maintains the certification as needed.
- Possess a current Back Flow Certification from the American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA).
- Prior Healthcare industry experience.
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Ability to climb intermittently during the day. Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds.
- Ability to lift 10-40 pounds.
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
- Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
