We are working with a fantastic client that is looking for a Vice President of Marketing inside of the world of Alternative investment management. This is a dynamic high growth opportunity, with the ability to take ownership of building the marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management (LinkedIn Focus)
- Develop and execute a comprehensive LinkedIn strategy to grow follower base, engagement, and brand authority among institutional investors and industry professionals.
- Create, schedule, and publish LinkedIn content including thought leadership posts, firm updates, market commentary, employee spotlights, and multimedia assets.
- Monitor analytics and report on KPIs (impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, click-through) with data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Manage executive social presence by advising leadership on LinkedIn best practices.
- Stay current on LinkedIn algorithm updates, features, and industry social media trends.
Content Marketing
- Produce high-quality written content including white papers, blog posts, newsletters, case studies, investment commentaries, and pitch deck narratives.
- Collaborate with investment professionals to translate complex strategies and market insights into compelling, accessible content for target audiences.
- Maintain an editorial calendar and ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels.
- Manage relationships with external writers, designers, and creative agencies as needed.
- Oversee website content updates and SEO optimization efforts.
Events & Conferences
- Research, evaluate, and recommend industry conferences, forums, and sponsorship opportunities aligned with firm objectives and target audience.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics for sponsored events, speaking engagements, and proprietary firm-hosted events (roundtables, investor dinners, webinars).
- Develop event collateral, talking points, and follow-up strategies to maximize ROI.
- Coordinate with sales and investor relations to ensure seamless pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up.
- Track event performance metrics and maintain a database of industry conferences and networking opportunities.
Press & Media Outreach
- Assist with press outreach efforts including drafting press releases, media pitches, and firm announcements for trade and financial publications.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts covering alternative investments and financial services.
- Coordinate media opportunities for firm leadership including interviews, bylined articles, and expert commentary placements.
- Monitor media coverage and industry news to identify timely PR opportunities and manage the firm’s media presence.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in alternative investments, asset management, or financial services.
- Demonstrated expertise in LinkedIn strategy and social media management with measurable results.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex financial topics clearly and persuasively.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and executing events and conference sponsorships.
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Hootsuite, Canva, Google Analytics, or comparable platforms, as well as familiarity with AI-powered marketing and content tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience marketing to institutional investors, family offices, or high-net-worth individuals.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in financial services marketing (e.g., SEC marketing rule).
- Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, DealCloud, or similar).
- Experience with marketing automation, email campaigns, and lead nurturing workflows.
- Experience with press outreach, media relations, or public relations in a financial services context.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $110,000–$135,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and skillset.
