We’re partnering with a fantastic client in the alternative investments space to hire a VP of Marketing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, high-performing firm and play a key role in shaping its brand, voice, and market presence. This role is ideal for a creative yet strategic marketer who understands financial audiences and thrives at the intersection of content, social media, and events.
What you’ll be doing:
Social Media
- Develop and execute a comprehensive LinkedIn strategy to grow audience, engagement, and brand authority
- Create and publish content including thought leadership, firm updates, market commentary, and multimedia assets
- Monitor performance metrics (impressions, engagement, follower growth, CTR) and optimize accordingly
- Support and advise leadership on executive social media presence
Content Marketing
- Produce high-quality content including white papers, articles, newsletters, case studies, and investment commentary
- Partner with internal teams to translate complex strategies and market insights into clear, compelling messaging
- Manage an editorial calendar and ensure consistency in brand voice across all channels
- Oversee website content updates and support SEO initiatives
Events & Conferences
- Identify and evaluate industry events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities aligned with target audiences
- Manage end-to-end execution of events including conferences, roundtables, webinars, and investor engagements
- Develop event materials, messaging, and follow-up strategies to maximize ROI
- Track event performance and maintain a pipeline of relevant opportunities
Media & PR
- Support press outreach efforts including drafting press releases, media pitches, and firm announcements
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and industry publications
- Coordinate media opportunities for senior leadership (interviews, bylined articles, commentary)
- Monitor industry news and identify timely PR opportunities
What we’re looking for:
- 10 years of marketing experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, or alternative investments
- Demonstrated success in LinkedIn strategy and social media management
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly
- Experience planning and executing events and sponsorships
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have:
- Experience marketing to institutional investors, family offices, or high-net-worth individuals
- Familiarity with financial marketing regulations (e.g., SEC guidelines)
- Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation, and analytics tools
- Background in media relations or public relations
