Elevator Operator

As a Elevator Operator, you’ll play a key role in receiving, storing, conditioning, drying, transferring, and loading grain while supporting safe and efficient facility operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating grain handling equipment safely and efficiently to receive, transfer, store, and load grain.   
  
  
  - Grading and inspecting corn, wheat, and soybeans while maintaining accurate grain quality standards.   
  
  
  - Performing sanitation, routine maintenance, and emergency repair activities while maintaining an audit-ready facility.   
  
  
  - Working safely around grain trucks, railcars, trailers, barges, and other grain-hauling equipment.   
  
  
  - Following all food safety, quality, environmental, and workplace safety requirements, including GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, and company policies.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.   
  
  
  - Previous agricultural, manufacturing, grain handling, or industrial experience preferred.   
  
  
  - Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools.   
  
  
  - Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders and work at heights exceeding 180 feet.   
  
  
  - Ability to work in confined spaces and pass a Qualitative Respirator Fit Test.   
  
  
  - Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, fall protection, respirators, and safety footwear.   
  
  
  - Strong attention to safety, communication, and problem-solving skills.

This role is performed in a fast-paced industrial environment and involves exposure to grain dust, varying temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, moving equipment, airborne particles, and elevated work locations. Hearing protection is typically required, and employees may be exposed to common wheat allergens.
