Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Provide exceptional, personalized customer service to patients and caregivers
- Process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling
- Answer phones and assist patients with questions in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications
- Support overall pharmacy workflow, including keeping the workspace clean and organized
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Requirements
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or independent pharmacy setting
- National certification (e.g., PTCB)
- Experience with pharmacy management systems and insurance processing
