Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences, needs, and experience levels, utilizing extensive product knowledge.
- Conduct product demonstrations and educate customers about different strains, consumption methods, and effects to enhance their understanding.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail transactions, including cash handling and processing sales accurately.
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring proper merchandising to optimize sales opportunities.
- Uphold store standards by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service through active listening, clear communication, and professional phone etiquette.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counting, product rotation, and documenting discrepancies when necessary.
- Support merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that highlight featured products and promotions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems and retail math to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash register operations and retail transactions.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects; training will be provided if needed.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Experience with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining retail store product knowledge standards.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older in accordance with local regulations governing cannabis sales.
