Program Coordinator II - Community Safety Program

Summary

The Community Safety Program Coordinator will support the successful implementation of programs, events, and other activities implemented by the Division of Community Safety Policy and Engagement (DCS) within the Comprehensive Injury Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin (CIC).

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual meetings and events
• Support the development and preparation of presentation materials
• Monitor program and project priorities, deliverables and deadlines
• Draft, review, and edit proposals, external correspondence, presentations, and other documents
• Document meetings and events via notes, photographs, and video as needed
• Draft and provide content for social media, reports, and other external communications in partnership with CIC Communications Specialist
• Monitor and update files and documents including but not limited to presentations, program calendars, reports, proposals, and other relevant documents
• Research and monitor trends relevant to community safety, public health, and violence prevention
• Manage program communications and follow through of DCS partners and program participants
• Coordinate enrollment, registration, and follow up activities for meetings and events
• Manage the Division's social media accounts and web content, including planning, creating, scheduling, and posting material and monitoring engagement
• Maintain a calendar of events and observances relevant to violence prevention and community safety
• Design and deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and trainings, and respond to technical assistance requests from partners
• Develop, adapt, and implement templates and organizing processes that support consistent and quality program delivery
• Maintain contact and relationship management systems and support effective partner relations
• Represent the CIC-DCS on internal and external committees and working groups as needed

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

We are seeking a self-motivated team-player with experience supporting high-performing leaders and the implementation of virtual and in-person programs, meetings, and events. Mastery of Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint is required. Individual must be a service-oriented team-player with high attention to detail and ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills with a high level of emotional intelligence required.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years

Preferred Experience: Government, nonprofit public health

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
