Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide personalized beverage service to enhance the customer experience
- Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability in retail sales transactions with basic math skills for cash handling and change calculation
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but training will be provided
- Experience in beverage preparation or barista roles is a plus; knowledge of coffee brewing techniques is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and cleanliness standards
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours
