Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dependable Meat/Deli Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers at the meat and deli counter, prepare orders, maintain a clean and safe work space, and ensure that customers receive excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with meat and deli selections
- Weigh, slice, and package meats to customers specifications
- provide knowledge and recommendations
- ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- keep work areas, counters, and equipment clean and organized
- assist with other duties as needed such as wrapping, labeling, and restocking
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, deli or meat counter preferred but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
