Barista and Customer Experience Advocate

Job Overview.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista with food service experience to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, taking food orders, maintaining a clean work space, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile and a desire to return. You must have customer service and POS and cash handling experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including equipment and counters.
• Operate the Square POS system for cash register transactions.
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions, and make recommendations based on their preferences.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and beverage service.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while managing time effectively during busy periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square POS, is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic knowledge of retail math for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A commitment to food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
• Punctuality and dependability is a MUST!
