Job description
We are looking for a contracted and licensed cosmetologist to enhance our residents experience here at The Meadows on University.
Position Description: The contracted beautician will be responsible for enhancing our resident's appearance, self esteem, and overall presentation. This person will conduct a wide range of hair care services including but not limited to shampooing, cutting, coloring, highlighting and styling. The beautician will be required to maintain basic safety standards and hygienic measures according to state guidelines. Beauty shop must be kept clean and hygenic at all times. The contracted beautician will be expected to build a rapport with residents through recommendations, meaningful conversation and basic knowledge of current beauty industry trends.
This is a contract position, and therefore hours are flexible, but must be consistent. A log of all residents serviced must be kept and provided to the facility as well as an approved rates list.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed by the State of North Dakota in cosmetology
- Proof of Liability Insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as a beautician or barber
- Prior experience in a healthcare facility preferred
Ability to commute:
- Fargo, ND (Required)
Experience:
- Geriatric/Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cosmetology: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Cosmetology License (Required)
