Managing a dog kennel

Managing staff to
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and resetting guest bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom areas
- Changing linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping of rooms, emptying trash
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas, lobby, restrooms, and offices
- Washing, drying, folding, blankets and towels
- Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by leadership team
- Promoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction; being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requests
- Being courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest request or lost/found items
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of property
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the leadership team that may or may not be inclusive of the normal scope of duties, and based upon business needs
Manage daily operations of our dog program, including care, manners, feeding, and health oversight of dogs.
· Supervise, coach, and develop kennel staff and seasonal assistants.
· Create and maintain financial reports, training progress reports, and program summaries for the Supervisor.
· Maintain accurate records, contracts, and invoicing in coordination with the accounting team.
· Provide regular communication and consultation with members regarding their dogs’ progress.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kennel environment.
Education & Experience
· Minimum 2 years’ management experience in kennel operations (management experience preferred).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Hospitality experience or prior work in a private club environment a plus.
· Passion for the outdoors.
· High-level interpersonal and customer service skills with a focus on member satisfaction.
· Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
· This may be an on-call position; hours vary based on the season, with increased hours during peak season.
· Depending on operational needs, there may be times when this role will be required to assist other departments.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and navigate indoor/outdoor club facilities.
· Work schedule includes weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by events or business needs.
Working Environment:
MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL DOG KENNEL/BEHAVIOR EXPERIENCE.

- follow kennel operations, including cleaning, feeding, and maintaining a safe environment for animals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dog handling in a kennel environment.
- Proficiency in dog handling and training techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to be self-motivated and work well with others.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with your manager, team and clients.
