Duties
- Prepare a variety of fresh salads, toppings, dressings, and garnishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the salad bar throughout service hours
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new salad options and seasonal ingredients to keep offerings exciting
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; communicate needs for restocking or ordering
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper knife skills, portion control, and temperature checks during food preparation
Qualifications
- Prior Salad Preparation in a larger scale environment is a must.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment
- Proven culinary experience with an emphasis on salad bar setup and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning and creating appealing healthy options
