Rate: $28.00 - $32.00/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Full-Time
Location: Autumn View Health Care Facility
As a Clinical Instructor, you will provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students and staff. You will teach proper nursing techniques, patient care procedures, and best practices in long-term and sub-acute care. As a Clinical Instructor, you will provide hands-on clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students and staff. You will teach proper nursing techniques, patient care procedures, and best practices in long-term and sub-acute care. You will be an essential part of our onboarding and professional development efforts—helping to elevate the standard of care across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site clinical instruction to nursing students and new staff during clinical rotations, onboarding, and skill development sessions
- Demonstrate and supervise proper techniques in wound care, hygiene, vital signs, documentation, mobility assistance, and other essential procedures
- Ensure trainees understand and adhere to infection control, patient safety, and compliance standards
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to improve clinical skills and quality of care
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Education teams to align instruction with facility goals and best practices
- Maintain clear records of instruction, training logs, and performance evaluations
- Support continuing education efforts and skill refresher programs for current employees
- Current LPN license in good standing with New York State
- Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting preferred
- Prior experience as a preceptor, mentor, or trainer preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt instruction to various learning styles
