The McGuire Firm is a bustling personal injury law firm based in Tyler, Texas. We help clients all over the state of Texas who have been injured due to someone else's negligence.
The ideal candidate will ensure effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with clients in order to serve them.
Responsibilities
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and court appearances for attorneys and clients.
- Order and review medical records, bills, and other relevant documents for accuracy and relevance to the case.
- Assist with the preparation of settlement demands, negotiation strategies, and mediation proceedings.
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties to gather information and facilitate case progress.
- Provide other administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications
- Prefer minimum of two years of working as a legal assistant, experience in personal injury law a plus.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules related to personal injury cases.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and client matters.
- Experience with Filevine a plus.
