Growth-oriented and highly consultative CPA firm in Plano, TX is seeking a tax professional with the skills and qualifications to prepare business and personal tax returns. Applicants should be able to work independently and possess the determination and initiative to complete assigned work in accordance with client and statutory deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA candidate with 3 years of federal tax preparation experience in a public firm
- Knowledge of CCH Prosystems /Axcess Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Assets preferred
- Can communicate effectively via email and via telephone with clients and internal staff
- Learns fast, works efficiently and productively, and willing to proactively ask questions
- Skillful at managing a variety of assignments simultaneously while tracking and completing necessary follow-up
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of business and associated individual tax returns
- Communicate with clients to request information and respond to questions as well as manage clients needs to meet internal and external deadlines
- Communicate with groups at all levels from peers and clients to federal and state departments regarding client compliance engagements and projects
- Apply your tax knowledge to invest and grow within our firm to become an integral part of our processes and success
