The Master Teacher is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and self-driven eLearning Content Editor to join our growing team! This individual must be creative, forward-thinking, and passionate about creating high-quality and engaging educational content, and must thrive on meeting deadlines.
As an eLearning Content Editor, you will work in a fast-paced environment where traditional skills such as grammatical excellence, copy editing, highly effective communication, and proofing are combined with your talent and interest in helping to create courses for over 110,000 users in our eLearning Platform.
In this position, you will primarily communicate with and review work from our authors, copy edit their content, and convert course content into formats conducive to effective and engaging online learning, with other projects as assigned.
Our office is located in Manhattan, Kansas. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicating with course authors and reviewing their work
- Copy editing and proofreading courses and other materials
- Modifying content into script format
- Elevating course materials to attain higher levels of engagement
- Building video courses using Pictory, an AI video-generating platform
- Updating courses in our eLearning Platform
- Editing blog articles and posting them on social media
- Proofing product and marketing copy
- Improving performance, efficiency, and processes by suggesting upstream changes to deliver a refined final product
Required qualifications:
- Copy editing experience
- Instructional design experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts who have varying degrees of technical expertise, talents, and work styles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- 4-year college degree in communications, English, education, or other related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience
- K-12 teaching experience
- Social media management
