CDL Required

• Operate a tractor/trailer in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

•  Effectively communicate with dispatch as required.

• Physically meet the demands of required duties as described in the Physical Requirements section of this Job Profile.

•   Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck/trailer to ensure DOT standards are met and detect defects that may affect the safe operation of the unit; perform in-route inspections as needed.

•   Report any defects or problems with the truck/trailers to the appropriate individuals.

•  Maintain all required paperwork associated with each load.

•  Review paperwork to determine the nature of the load, customer location, delivery route and that the delivery time corresponds with dispatch instructions.

•  Comply with all company and customer requirements on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Properly maintain all records required by the company as well as governmental agencies.

•  Report all accidents and/or work-related injuries (regardless of severity) to the appropriate manager.

• Maintain proper communication with manager on status.

Work Environment:

·       Drivers may spend 10% to 30% of their time outdoors exposed to potentially difficult environmental conditions.

·       Drivers may be subject to irregular work schedules, weather extremes, short notice for trip assignments, tight delivery schedules, and other stresses related to driving a large commercial motor vehicle.

·       Drivers typically spend 80 to 90% of on-duty time in the truck.

·       While driving, operators are exposed to noise and vibration levels that may be higher than those typically experienced in passenger cars.

 Pay: $22.75–$32.00 per hour
