The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation, Management Services Division, Office Services Unit (OSU), is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager. The Warehouse Operations Manager will lead, coordinate, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Department’s recreation warehouse. This position will report to the OSU Unit Manager.
Warehouse Operations- Manager receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage the automated inventory system to include configuration of new products, testing, troubleshooting, and serving as the subject matter expert to internal and external customers.
- Conduct research and submit proposals for implementing technological improvements such as software or systems improvements, expand and improve inventory controls and product lines; and deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to procure and deliver goods that support internal and external customer needs.
- Develop and implement warehouse standard operating procedures aligned with industry best practices and Commission policy and procedures.
- Ensure safe working conditions of staff and safe use of warehouse equipment.
Budget and Procurement Management
- Review and approve purchase requisitions for internal and external purchases.
- Draft and submit bid documents for release and approval to and from the procurement department.
- Monitor expenditures and account reconciliation to ensure timely invoicing and accurate reporting methodologies.
- Analyze purchasing trends and submit recommendations and remain abreast of product recalls.
- Fosters and maintains relationships with vendors.
Supervision
- Provide leadership and guidance to the assigned work programs, priorities, and team goals.
- Manage the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide guidance and coaching to staff.
- On-site management to monitor work deliverables, supervise staff schedules, and ensure safe use of warehouse equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
2. One (1) year of experience in human resource management, finance or any other related area of business administration.
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply-Chain Management, Business Administration, or Accounting
- Five (5) or more years managing and supervising warehouse, inventory, and distribution operations.
- Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Professional, Certified Supply-Chain Professional(CSCP) or other industry-approved certifications in warehouse, inventory, and/or distribution.
May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.

Salary : $54,998 - $97,403
